If you’re a golf fan and have a pulse, you know the Masters is coming up and that Tiger Woods will be back at Augusta. If you’ve ever played golf in Myrtle Beach, S.C., however, you know what else this time of year means:
The Hootie & the Blowfish Monday After the Masters Celebrity Pro-Am Golf Tournament
This year’s event - held April 12 on the Dye Course at Barefoot Resort - will feature country music stars Steve Azar, Colt Ford, and Jack Ingram (in addition to Hootie & The Blowfish members Darius Rucker (himself a fine country singer), Mark Bryan, Dean Felber, and Jim “Soni” Sonefeld).
“Country music artists and country radio have really embraced me, so it’s great to see so many of my new friends joining us in an effort to raise money for the Hootie & The Blowfish Foundation,” said Darius Rucker, CMA New Artist of the Year.
The field this year will also include: The PGA Tour’s Jim Furyk, John Daly, Woody Austin and Rich Beem; LPGA player and Myrtle Beach resident Kristy McPherson; “Nature Boy” Ric Flair; NASCAR’s Kyle Petty and Michael Waltrip; and NFL greats Gale Sayers, Bernie Kosar, Jim McMahon, Kordell Stewart, and Boomer Esiason.
Tickets for the 2010 Hootie & The Blowfish Monday After the Masters tournament are on sale now at the House of Blues, the Barefoot Resort pro shops and all Ticketmaster outlets. Tickets are $15 (children 12 and under are free). All proceeds benefit the Hootie & the Blowfish Foundation, which supports the educational needs of children in South Carolina and the South Carolina Junior Golf Foundation. This sounds great but as I am based in the UK I will just have to settle for the tiger woods show. Its a shrewd move from Tiger as he will get protected there more so than any where else. I cant see that happening when he comes over for the Ryder Cup. -

Good afternoon, this was a really top quality blog. I'd like to write like this also - taking time and real effort to make a good article... but what can I say... I Am lazy and never seem to get something done.
