Travel writers are scum sucking maggots, Mr. Baldwin

Dear Mr. Baldwin,

I know you think you are the golf version of Woodward and Bernstein now that you have totally disrobed Las Vegas’ Billy Walters. And, I am sure you think you are all high and mighty now that you have exposed more than your fair share of con men in the golf business. Hell, I will give it to you…dodging those henchmen in Las Vegas, writing your shit. But as Bill Clinton would say, “you listen real good": you don’t know jack diddly about The Rebel and you are still not in my class.

Travel writers from the foofy lifestyle mags to golf, are nothing more than a bunch scum sucking maggots. They stink so bad, their filth so knarly that they make the those hoes in the cheap Santee, South Carolina strip joints look dignified. I do not need Tim McDonald or anyone on this blog team to tell me that these travel writers of today or nothing more than bitches that should slapped.

You keep blaming the editors. Yes, they should be blamed for the crap they print. But that does not excuse the PR flacks masquerading as journalists who pawn off their trash to editors, knowing full well they are clueless.

I a fine with putting blame on the editors. But why not blame the liars who actually write the bogus copy?

That is why I am calling on the Society of Travel Writers to once and for all take leadership over their members and demand accountability. It is fine to encourage travel in general. Everyone should reach out and meet other cultures. I think the public is better served by those who educate the public and give the straight scoop.

Yes, Deep Throat has come forward. The Rebel is still yelling.

The Rebel, in his diatribe against 'foofy' travel writers is a disgrace to the south. He should adopt another moniker. Perhaps 'rabid yankee' is a better fit.

Yankee? Ye make me blood boil. I have waved by Rebel flag long before Jessie Jackson made it a sin.

"I do not need Tim McDonald or anyone on this blog team to tell me that these travel writers of today or nothing more than bitches that should slapped." No, but you may need someone to slap a little grammar into you. Your writing, while not foofy, could certainly be deemed goofy!
