SI’s Jay Mohr is not a fan of golf. He says our fine sport is a waste of time, frustrating, caters to has-beens and is more frustrating than a lap dance.

Check out the

Jay Mohr column.

Here is one thing I can guarantee you: Cheap Bastard is way too cheap to get a lap dance.

Since when is a bad comedian, bad cast member of SNL, and bad actor in bad movies qualified to write for a major publication?

Jays third sentence revealed his problem with golf, he stinks at it. That also reveals why he hates the Champion's Tour. Here are guys twice his age that easily out drive, out think, out putt and generally kick his azz on any golf course at any time. They will walk and he can take a cart and they will finish sooner and beat him by 50 strokes.

Moore is what is wrong with America today, he is a team sport watcher. Nothing individual, nothing great, just a team playing against another team and it's on TV so I never have to leave the couch. He was no doubt a frat member in college if he attended college.

I like the fact that golf glorifies individual effort, even the caddie doesn't get any glory. This is not a team effort, nobody to help you out of a problem, just you and your clubs. That is why the Ryder Cup is so infrequent, it's not golf!

As for kids playing, they can all afford to find some golf balls and a bag and hit shots in a field. That's how I grooved my swing, I would ride my bike to the local school and hit balls for hours. If a kid wants to really learn the game they can find a club that uses caddies and get a job looping, they will learn the game, make good money, get a deal on good equipment and a lot of times will have access to a course once a week. Once old enough, they could get a job with the course.

Not a golf question, just trying to get this email to Jay for his SI column.

Don't any of the SI columnists have the cajones’ to admit that John Gruden owes Tony Dungy a Super Bowl ring. He got handed a team that was ready, got to keep Monty Kiffen, and went up against his old team and the Quarterback he trained at the big game. Since then it has been down hill (although this year the players, not the coach are making a run for it). He needs to get real and give Tony Dungy his Tampa Bay Super Bowl ring. That way Tony will have two of them next year. I have asked this question several times to different SI columnists and it never gets addressed. Either no one agrees with me and thinks I am an idiot, or they are afraid to piss of coach Hype and are afraid they will get sucked into those mean little wrinkles between his eyes. Remember, this is the guy who got rid of the likes of Lynch and Jerovicious and that silly Brad Johnson guy for seasoned (a.k.a. Old) players.
