Steven Bowditch Update

I can’t help but equate his scorecards to a horrific collision of vehicles. They changed his picture on PGAtour.com, but Bowditch’s scores are still as menacing as his former mug shot.

Consider this: First Round at Tucson … four birdies, four bogeys, not so bad. The cut will be at -4, so a 68 will get you through to Saturday. Wait, add in a double, a triple and a quad. That’s right, 8 on the par four ninth, 7 on the par four sixteenth, and 6 on the par four 18th. What demons have bewitched this poor aussie? Was June 8th, 1983, a cursed day on which to be born? Forget Duval, Bowditch making a cut in 2006 will be the comeback story of the year.

In case you’re wondering, the poor guy didn’t even bother to show up for round two. His Thursday 82 sent him packing, perhaps to the couch of a mental coach.

Yes of the same name. As a Ngangkari (a descendant of Traditional Aboriginal Healer) I have offered to help Steven with my magic)but no response thus far. This is not a joke. Yes, my name is Steven Bowitch. Also a former top sportsman. 1981 World Champion in Squash and twice runner up in the North American Open 1985 &6. Also a winner of 2 club championships in golf - Germany and Australia and a 3 handicap. And yes now an Aboriginal healer or magic man. Bizarely, what the west refers to as witchdoctor.
