Sometimes numbers lie. If they don’t lie, they certainly don’t tell the whole story. I’ve spent the better part of 2006 using Steven Bowditch’ misfortunes as fodder for at least one blog per month. You’d think I might have dug a little deeper, imagined a reason for Bowditch’ wildly inconsistent play in his first season on the PGA Tour. Fortunately for me, a little trip around the web to my favorite golf sites uncovered the above-linked article on Steven Bowditch. The New Zealander, a stranger in a strange land, had more working against him than I could have imagined. In spite of it all, he persevered. Wherever he plays in 2007, he will be a valuable asset to tour and tournaments alike.

What's with the Bowditch fixation all of a
sudden? Are you attracted to him for
some manly reason?

Nah, nothing so scandalous. He's obviously a talented guy with some major roadblocks. At first I was captivated by the scoring discrepancies, but now I get the sense that there is much more to the story. I'm hoping for a tremendous 2007 for the laddie.

Dot Wong doesn't exist?

Not only does she exist, but she's hoping to come on Berner's This Week podcast but you keep hogging all the space showing up every time.

Come on RON... Ease up and do a little more resaerch! Steven Bowditch is Australian! He also is a very talented young golfer. How about putting a little more positivity towards him rather than negativity.. He deserves a far go and people like you have no idea what its really like being a pro golfer!
