Sports Illustrated at the PGA Show: Video 101...C+ At Best

I love video on the web. I love YouTube on the web. I love Windows Movie Maker. I love video on the web.

That’s my ode to video on the web. Even a hack like me can press the red record button, tape some life, upload it to a PC, and dice it into a presentable account of moments. Why, then, is it so hard for Gary Van Sickle (he of the Pittsburgh Van Sickles) and his crack SI web team to put together a one-minute interview with Callaway, on the subject of the FT-i driver?

I checked this video three times over the course of two days. The video is GVS’ attempt at flirtation with the comely Callaway rep. Alas, no luck for GVS in that department, although there are so many skips and jumps, we cannot tell for certain.

The moral is, if you’re going to embrace a trend, make certain that you do it properly. Otherwise, you’ll have egg on your face.

Ron Mon,

You've been grumpy lately. I can only assume it's the weather up there. Hopefully when you can shovel your way out of your lair in May you'll be a happier camper.
