Spanish teacher and golf nut that I am, imagine my excitement when Miguel Carballo, Argentina,
Carballo
won the season-opening Movistar event on the N-Wide tour, in Panama, of all places. Four events later, Carballo sits in 6th place on the tour’s money list, growing more comfortable on the North American continent with each passing week. Currently striking the ball
Carballo
at the Henrico County Open, he finds himself at T16 after two rounds. Check him out on the PGATour.Com website and …what? No picture? No media guide entry? Nothing on the guy who won your first event of the season? With the emphasis on Camilo Villegas, Lorena Ochoa, and other hispanic golfers, shouldn’t you have a little bit on this dude who might head farther north, this time to the PGA Tour, at the end of the 2007 campaign? No comprendo, ay de mi, !que calumnia! (sorry, can’t do accent marks or upside-down punctuation.)

Totally agree with your comments abour Miguel Carballo. I'm his caddie out on the Nationwide Tour. He is a great kid with a great personality... along with a superionr golf ability. Look for him to go far at season's end.

Saludos,

Roger Herrmann
