What Wie needs to do to W.I.N.

Tuesday October 23, 2007 | 14:11:29 188 words, 2626 views
Win a free golf book!

A lovely Ph.D. has penned an article titled “Spelling out the steps Michelle Wie must take to succeed.” The nucleus of the article is a mneumonic device, in the form of the acronym FORWARD, and isn’t life just tidy! This sweet tidiness is what BJ and Mrs. BJ Wie have tried to make out of Michelle’s life, to no avail. Sad, isn’t it? Although some of Ph.D. Silby’s points are salient enough, stooping to the acronym leaves a bad aftertaste. The most appropriate point is WIN, no matter what level. Go to the Future’s Tour (what is it called now?), go anywhere and win!

Here is my own acronym for Wie…W.I.N. The “W” stand for WHY, as in why are your parents around, all the time, reliving their lives through you? The “I” stands for I, as in I, Michelle Wie, need to take charge of my own life. The “N” stands for NOW, as in Now is the time for me to get a freakin’ life.

Put them together and chant with me…Why I Now, Why I Now, Why I Now.

Anyone who ads their MA (or M.Ed.)) onto
their PhD is suspicious. And acronyms should be
AAAC (avoided at all costs).

I have no titles, so I choose not to add anything before or after my name, beyond Mr.

She's Done

Done,Done,Done. It's kind of Sad. I hope Parent's can learn from this and take a lesson from this, but I doubt it. Learn from Tiger's Dad

It's tongue in cheek...the generation of '65 must have a different sense of humor from yours, Art...unless you were born in 1965...then I'm confused.

Ledbetter's jumping ship (lol...Titanic reference to Tuck's post) like the rat he is and now "self-help gurus" are piling on - it sure looks like the MW phenomenon has about run its course. Good post Ron Mon.

Boy, French Guy, that's profound. Way to toss around the word "retarded." Try "rancorous" or "resentful" or something that's a bit less insulting. I'd hate to know what you might put in for N, F, or A.

Appears that Wie-Wee should stay in school and learn another skill. She is probably going to need it.
