David Feherty assasination plot foiled; McCord in custody
Friday March 14, 2008 | 21:38:42 152 words, 4696 views
SURGEON GENERAL WARNING: The following is a poor attempt at fiction and should not be read in any way, shape or form as resembling the truth. David Feherty, who bears a striking resemblance to this writer, was in passable condition in a southern hospital, the survivor of an attempt on his life. The born-again Texan was clipped by a truck while impersonating Lance Armstrong on a lesser day, although there is no truth to the rumor that Feherty sported a yellow jersey. Gary McCord is being held by local police after confessing to the assasination attempt. McCord is rumored to have angled for a return to The Masters television broadcast team, and viewed the elimination of the Ulsterman as his best route to the tower. In a related story, The Masters has applied for an international exemption from possessive apostrophes. More information will be made available as soon as it is invented. Comments:
Feherty is funny. His commercials are a riot. McCord is a smart ass but he does have a good moustache

Funny post, considerably better than today's.
Well it was, right up until you had to take a shot at the Masters. Yes, everyone knows they're stodgy and rooted in the antebellum past. So what.....other than you can't resist poking at the upper/upper-middle class?

It's not a semi-colon in the headline, idiot, it's a comma. A semi-colon connects two INDEPENDENT CLAUSES. You have no verb in "McCord in custody," so a semi-colon is wrong. When was the last time you saw a semi-colon in a headline?
He even makes a mistake in a post where he cries about punctuation! You're one terrific English teacher Ron Mon. It's a good thing for us you're not a doctor.

Yup, you're right. Thank the heavens for you.
