At 12:31, EST, Saturday the 22nd, names are rising to the top of the leader board that have not been seen together in quite some time. Within the top 10 currently are Jim Furyk, Retief Goosen, Vijay Singh, Tiger Woods, Adam Scott, Geoff Ogilvy and Tim Clark. All right, Tim Clark is a bit of a stretch, but the others were at one time or another in the Big Five groupings of one person or another. Mickelson is tied for 17th, while Els is way back in 74th (explanation of two missing big names.)

For golf’s sake, let’s hope that Ogilvy and Scott don’t separate too much, that Mickelson goes on a run to get to at least -8 or -9, and that we have all these wonderful names within 4 strokes of each other. That’s my wish for this weekend.

Scott, Furyk, and Ogilvy have NEVER been in the "Big Five" - a stupid "made-for-media" label which tried to lump together Mickelson, Els, Woods, Goosen, and Singh.

Why not tell us something new or offer analysis instead of just reading us the leaderboard?
