Golfers who will not win this weekend
Sunday June 8, 2008 | 07:42:08 170 words, 5768 views
These players are done for the week, having emptied their holsters of birdies on Saturday: Zachary Sucher, 61 at Sunnehanna Amateur. Course record will have to be enough. Ricky Fowler wins second consecutive Sunny this day. Jee-Young Lee and Maria Hjorth, 65s at LPGA Championship. With Annika and Lorena on their heels, these ladies have had their moment in the sun at Bulle Rock. Matt Every and Reid Edstrom, 63s on Nationwide Tour. Every is tied for 1st with Quinn, a stroke ahead of Ginn, with Toledo lurking. Edstrom is 5 back, hoping for a top 5 finish. Tim Clark, 64 at Stanford St. Jude. Hasn’t won on tour in nearly 20 years of trying, and it won’t happen this week. Alex Cejka or Bill Haas are my top two, even with Masters champ Immelman tied for 2nd. Steve Stull, 68 at Jersey Seniors Classic. This is Jersay, the isle, not New Jersey. When only three old guys break 70 on Saturday, it’s a safe bet that none of them will do it on Sunday. Sorry, Steve. Comments:No Comments for this post yet... Leave a comment: |
