What Fresh Horror Is Happening At Interlachen!?

1. How did Jessica Korda, an amateur, make six birdies and shoot -4 on Sunday at the USGA Women’s Open? She’s 13 years old only, for goodness sake! I don’t care that her dad is Petr Korda, the ancient pro tennis player. Not like her name is Lendl or anything.

2. What madness has afflicted the final pairing of Creamer and Lewis? They seem to be feeding off each other in an antagonistic, horrific way. Creamer has two dubs and two sings, while Lewis has a dub and two sings. Better ball, they’re three over par for the front nine!!! Creamer has the only birdie.

3. Angela Park and Teresa Lu are creeping up the leader board. Inbee Park has held the top spot since her birdie-birdie beginning, although bogies on two of the final four front-nine holes show there’s more than a chink in the armor…perhaps a gaping gash.

4. My prediction at 3:48, eastern standard time is Angela Park…I don’t think either Creamer or Lewis plug the holes in the boat. My long-shot is amateur Maria Jose Uribe, who would add an Open title to her 2007 Amateur championship. That would give the UCLA women all three major USGA championship titles (women’s mid-am is NOT a testimony to any particular level of golfing skill.)

My bad...my source listed her as 13, not 15. Thanks for the clarification, Mr. Ummmm.
