A 9 on a par 4, that is my kind of scorecard...

Now they can market Bubbles by saying she can relate to the common golfer.

"She feels your pain."

Typical that the "Four Stooges" would be the first to gloat over Miss Wie's demise. Let us see what you have to say when she wins the 2009 Masters!

McLaughlin who? tied the course record with a 62! I knew this was going to happen, since the same thing has happened in every PGA event Michelle has played in during the first two rounds. I bet he will shoot a 74 tomorrow. I wonder when the last time this guy shot a 62, probably when he was playing junior golf.

Finally, guys, we must admit that Michelle has proved us all wrong.

Oh wait.

No.

Bam.

+9!

While The Princess of DQs and MCs (aka The Teenage Golf Sensation) disappointed yesterday, she delivered in full today!

Joe Cool. The thing that makes the four stooges really pissed is that even on her worst day, she would beat any one or all of them.

oh, and she's got all that money. Now that is funny, John D. and Coolio.
Yeah, all that money which really bites, huh??

Paris Hilton, Britney Spears, Michelle Wie, ...

... terrible personalities, stupid as a rock, no talent, but all that money.

This is sad, indeed.

Joe Cool...what is your problem. You're trying to play the old, "woulda coulda shoulda". Even if MW only had a bogie on 8, she would've still missed the cut by 5. Folks seem to think that she played good golf. Well, if her playing "good" golf only gets her to within 5 strokes of the "CUT", there is a definite problem.

"I am taking away a lot of good things from this week," she said. "I made some really good putts, some really good drives. I know that there are some things I need to work on, but I feel like I learned a lot."

After the round, Wie commented on her decision to play in the tournament and the criticism that she might receive for playing.

"I think if I played a couple in a row it'd be a different story, but it's hard to play one a year, you know," she answered."It's a different game and I think its unfair to think about it that way.

"I think if I played eight in a row and missed all eight, that'd be a different story," she explained. "But like I said, I gave it my best today, and I feel like I did a lot of good things, and hopefully that outshines the ones that I made mistakes on."

When will it all come to an end?

Well, I'd guess the marine guy, chesterton/smails, the French dude, and one more...no idea who the cleanup hitter is...

Just once I want to hear her speak not like Phil "Everything's Sunny" Mickelson, but instead, like Tiger "Yeah, I f'ed that one up and that other one. I've got some work to do. No BS."

People react to stress and disappointment differently. In Michelle Wie's case, a big indication that her game has gone south occurs when she gets what I call "microscopic mouth." Her mouth has an uncanny ability to shrink to a diameter of only a couple of centimeters and become a nearly invisible feature on her face. It is a crestfallen expression of an individual that would like to say, "daddy make the ball go straighter" but realizes she is now an 18 year-old young woman.

She also mutters to herself in Korean.

Comment from: Judge Smails [Visitor] Email
Yes, it's either Korean or she says, "Me so crooked; oh, oh, so crooked; me so crooked ; me bogey long time!"

Hey Smails,
The pertinent fact is that she had a larger crowd following her than anyone else at the tournament. This happens whenever she plays. That is what really frosts people like anna and other lpga players. They can be in the lead and she is outdrawing them in the gallery dept! I can't quite figure out the mental errors the young lady brings to the game (DQ'S etc...), but I am still grateful for the fact that at the age of 15 she inspired my daught to take up golfing, and Smails, I'll play you head 2 head, or my daughter will. Ha ha

ps what happened to your buddy alex>?

Florida Mike,

I'd be happy to clean up you or your daughter. Just remember, if she wants to play me, she has to play from the men's tees (equality, right?). And that goes for you, too!

Oh, also, bring your wallet.

Let me know if you are ever down pensacola way. There are a couple of nice courses near there and we can settle this like gentleman(though after reading some of your posts the last few years about ms wie, I apply the moniker loosely).

Fookinhell! Next Stop the Jerry Springer show with ll the other folk with an IQ less than average. I hit it really well out there, solid, but did'nt get any breaks..........This girl should be called "The Scalpel" as tongue in cheek she would need one to make the cut!

"I think if I played a couple (PGA Tour events) in a row, it would be a different story," she said. "It's just hard to play one and then one maybe a year later. I think if I played eight in a row and I missed all eight that would be a different story."

JR, you just don't give Michelle enough credit. Give her eight PGA exemptions in 2009 and I am certain she will make the cut in one of them.

I think we heard that in 2006 & 2007. Wie-Wee just needs to go concntrate on school. Then maybe, when she grows up, she'll realize she is NOT a golfer.
08/04/08 @ 04:57
Comment from: JR [Visitor] Email
Joe Cool... well, you are probably correct. if you GIVE MW enough exemptions, I'm sure she will eventually make a cut. But the entire jest is this, if she plays her best golf and all she can do is barely make a cut. That speaks volumes for her lack of credibility on the PGA tour.

JR,
I read that Leadbetter and Michelle's agents were not aware that she was going to play in the Legends tournament. This certainly smells of secret phone calls between B.J. and the Legends Director.

If MW can not keep the ball within 50 yards of the fairway during the Canadian Open, I doubt if she will make the cut. All of the par fives are reachable in two and you can bet that Ochoa, Annika and Creamer will be having a birdie fest on those par fives. I heard there is going to be a large flashing neon sign which reads...Did You Sign Your Scorecard?

Ron Mon,
It seemed that when Michelle double bogeyed the par five and realized that she was going to miss the cut, she just gave up. Similar reaction of a teenager when their prom dress was the wrong color.

She has become more vague in her answers than a politician. It will be interesting to see the warm welcome she receives from the other LPGA gals at the Canadian Open...NOT.
