I Have Lost A Bit Of Respect For Brady Riggs

Brady Riggs has always been one of my favorite writing pros. He had been involved with third-tier magazines before being snapped up by a first-tier magazine in 2007. Until today, I was a devotee. Now, I am adrift in the seas of disillusionmentationism. Riggs suggests, sadly, that B. Obama has the potential to become a good golfer, better than Clinton and Bush Junior. Here’s a link to his blog entry on the topic, accompanied by a video.

Honestly, it’s crap. There’s nothing smooth about Lefty’s abbreviated back swing, Cal Peete (without the diamonds in the teeth, before grilz became the rage) broken-armed backswing, and Charles Barkley lunge at the bottom. In fact, Obama starts lunging and lifting before he completes his back swing! For a guy who typically nails swing evaluations, Riggs got suckered by a need to smooch someone’s bottom.

Shame on you, Brady.

That sure is one lousy swing. Get used to seeing more of it.

Yeah, well, he doesn't have the potential to become a good president, either.
