Second Round of the Match Play...My Predictions
A good friend from BuffaloGolfer.Com, The Mouth That Roars, posted his predictions for round two of the match play this morning. I said good, but not necessarily smart, friend. He and I agree on virtually nothing when it comes to day two. Here’s why:
Clark defeats Woods…Clark putts lights out and Woods falters.
McIlroy defeats Mahan…The wee lad doesn’t know that he should lose.
Katayama defeats Ogilvy…different course, different year, bye-bye Geoff
Jimenez defeats Villegas–The Mechanic takes down Sampson by cutting his hair with a cigar cutter.
Donald defeats Singh–I normally don’t pick Donald for anything, but I have a bad feeling about the #1 seeds this year.
Stricker defeats Els–At least one former champ not named Tiger has to stick around. I’m picking Strick. Little man returns to haunt Els.
Johnson defeats Mickelson–You need to ask?
Westwood defeats Cink–Westwood pulled a Monty and blew the Open last year at Torrey. Today he shows how damned good he is.
Schwartzel defeats Poulter–Few other than RonMon follow the South African tour…last year Schwartzel went berserk and shot like -91 for a tournament. Today he shoots -7 for the holes that this one lasts.
O´Hair defeats Weekley–This one breaks my heart, but BooBoo goes back to Milton today.
Hanson defeats Ames–Even though the other two Hanson brothers aren’t here for support, Soren finds a way to win.
Casey defeats Goggin– The prison colony triumphs over the motherland. Goggin avenges the insult.
Fisher defeats Perez–The first half of the Oliver “twist.”
Kamer defeats Furyk–USA domination is over and Furyk goes down
Leonard defeats Love 3–snooorrrrreeee…who cares?
Wilson defeats Kim–The quiet guy takes down the wunderkind.
