Crystal Goblets! One of those neat prizes for competitors is the pair of crystal goblets awarded for an eagle. If you missed the cut, as Drew Kittleson did today, you still might go home with a door prize or, in his case, two. That’s correct; Kittleson eagled the 11th and the 15th on Friday, so high balls all around! Other cut-missers who get to go home with a pair of goblets (Is that like Grublets on Ice?) are Danny Lee (eagle on 8, round 2), Alvaro Quiros (eagle on 2, round 2) and Jeev Singh (eagle on 13, round 1). Only five amateurs were invited to The Masters this year; not one survived the 36-hole cut. As a result, no silver cups nor medals will be awarded this year. At least Kittleson salvaged some pride for the ams this year with his pair of eagles. Comments:No Comments for this post yet... Leave a comment: |
