Open Championship Irony
Rickie Fowler opens with 79 and makes the cut;
Oliver Wilson opens with 68 and misses the weekend.
Largest positive turnaround…Fowler, from 79 to 67 (12 to the good.)
Largest negative turnaround…Ryan Moore, from 70 to 84 (14 to the bad.)
I would have counted Rory McIlroy (63 to 80; 17 to the bad, but he at least made the cut.)
Golf breaks and mends hearts.
