Gunfight at the OK Doral - starring Tiger Woods as Wyatt Earp

As I write this blog, it is the latter stages of the third round of the Doral PGA tournament. (I just hate saying the sponsors name in the title.) Tiger Woods has just double-bogied the 9th hole to let go of his choke-hold on another title. It’s very nice of him to do this occasionally or else we might not watch anymore when we’re assured of the outcome.

It occurred to me that Tiger is much like Wyatt Earp, the famous US lawman. Earp was involved in numerous shootings – including the infamous Gunfight at the OK Corral - but never got so much as a scratch during all that gunplay. When Tiger gets in the lead, it has been lights out for the competition. If history holds, they stand no chance.

Perhaps El Tigre could do us a favor and lose once or twice from the lead. It would make for a little drama besides wondering who will finish second.

Shanks, I'm working on a deal where next year, Doral invites us down and pays us to teach local amateur bloggers how to blog. All we have to do is stick around for the rest of the week. I bet you'll say the corporate sponsors name then! Of course, Fix Or Repair Daily won't be around next year as sponsor, but someone else will be.

Sure Ron if you fill out the Event Volunteer form completely and print clearly, you and Shanks will get your invites to Doral.

Make sure you pull a sharp crayon out of the pack to fill out the applications Ron.
