NBC's Doral coverage sucks
Monday March 7, 2005 | 10:42:36 81 words, 3793 views
NBC didn’t miss a single chance of cramming in as many commercials as it could during the final holes Sunday at Doral. They broke away every 30 seconds, it seemed, and showed us Mickelson and Woods walking to the 18th via tape. That should have been live. And is there anything more worthless than the live interview with the sponsor bigwig dduring the final, dramatic moments? These guys never add anything to the broadcast. The Ford clown said nothing of any value. Comments:

NBC dragged the end on like all reality shows. It won't be long before they adopt the NFL's "TV Timeout".

When are you going to break down and buy a VCR, DVR or TIVO Tim? It really makes watching golf simple and commercial free plus you get to watch the golf in half the time. I know this must all sound new to you but it's all true.
I am surprised that after FORD puts on a great event that you would deny them a chance to say something even if it was lame. And again, if you had recorded the show, you could have skipped right past that piece and got right back to the golf.

Just want to follow up on the Doral coverage sucks comment, it is not so that the actual comments of the president of Ford was not at the right moment or the commercials that makes this event possible, but it is about the other players...we have had enough of seeing only the top players on saturday and sunday, dont forget THESE GUYS ARE GOOD! but if we only see two of them it becomes boring, think about so many good golfers are there to show us their talents, so let's do so!!!!!
As for Ford keep on the good work they have put on one of the best tournaments over the years. From the best Canadian watcher of the game since 1968 GO MIKE WEIR! Leave a comment: |
