Favre from here

The Favres are big in this part of Mississippi. I’m speaking mainly of Brett Favre, in particular, the extraordinarily talented quarterback of the Green Bay Packers, but also Favres in general. It’s a popular name in this part of the South.

Scott is Brett’s brother, and like his brother, a big, friendly, easy-going Mississippian who inherited a ton of athletic ability. The brothers are renowned down here for their ability in sports, and both of them hit the ball a mile off the tee. People tell stories of some of the legendary drives they’ve hit. I played with Scott at the Diamondhead Country Club, and all the talk wasn’t hype. In my line of work, I’ve played with some big hitters, and Scott is right up there with them.

So who’s better at golf, Brett or Scott? People say they were about equal, but since Brett’s taken lessons, they say he may be the better of the two now. Brett’s supposedly really into golf right now, so when he retires at the end of next season, he’ll have an athletic outlet to keep him busy. I’d still like to see the two of them go head-to-head.
