I agree with you about the lameness of his excuse . I think the whole damn situation is lame. The affair, in the wake of Smith's sanctimonius evangelism puts her on the same list as Swaggart, Garner Ted Armstrong, Jim Bakker, et al. I'm a Roman Catholic with feet of clay, like everyone else, so I keep my beliefs and moral code where it belongs...within my family. These proselytizing big mouth evangelists, Gallagher-Smith included, set themselves up for the falls they take; deservedly so.
