Mario wrong, Nancy Lopez correct in picks for Solheim Cup
You can tell by Jennifer Mario’s wild and frizzy hair that she’s a young radical too caught up in the culture of pop and youth. She wanted Nancy Lopez to pick Michelle Wie and Morgan Pressel for the U.S. Solheim Cup team. Instead, Lopez picked Beth Daniel and Wendy Ward.
Ward is one of the hottest players on the LPGA Tour right now, and Daniel is a solid veteran that will help the team in all kind of ways. Whatever happened to earning you way onto a team that represents America? Wie is all the rage now, with her crazed, aggressive fans, but she is no more deserving than Ward or Daniel. What leadership could she provide? I’ll tell you: none. And if Lopez picked both Wie and Pressel, we’d probably have the spectacle of a cat-fight, and what would that do for America’s image? Although, it would probably increase male viewership.
Lopez was correct. She didn’t get all caught up in this hot-celebrity worship and made good, solid choices. Wie will get her turn, if she doesn’t go Hollywood.

You really need to stop stereotyping Michelle Wie's fans in a certain category, its ignorant, and shows a lack of creativity on your part.
As far as a cat-fight ensuing, I think that may be true on Morgan Pressel's side-she has been the aggressive one constantly ripping apart Michelle in the media. I haven't heard one negative word from Michelle Wie concerning Morgan Pressel.

If you want to take aim at Jennifer Mario's opinion about putting Michelle Wie on the Solheim team, that's fine, but there's no need to insult Michelle Wie- I don't see her petitioning her way to get onto the Solheim team.
You people in the media hype Michelle Wie so much then insult her for getting so much hype-its doesn't make sense. The media always builds people up so they can tear them down all the time, its sad that you choose to participate in it.
It doesn't matter anyway because she's actually in school right now, so even if she wanted to she wouldn't be able to make it.

Daniels is a solid veteran who can help the team in many ways--but her golf game now is nowhere near as good as Wie's particularly on that type of course. EASY solution. Put Wie on the team and let Daniels be her mentor/caddy.
