Another good bag for travel golf at PGA Merchandise Show
Being a travel writer and golfer, I’m always on the lookout for a good travel bag. There are a lot of good ones out there.
One that I find at the 2007 PGA Merchandise Show is the Cargo Golf Hybrid. One of the things I’ve always disliked about big, bulky travel bags – although they’re the best at protection – is what the hell to do with them after you’ve arrived.
They’re clumsy and awkward, taking up all your trunk space or hotel room. The Hybrid has an expandable backbone that you can custom fit to your clubs. When you’re through with it, it collapses to 24 inches.
And it has a hard-shell top and padding that protects the club heads, as well as a hard-shell base. It also loads standing up, which I like. It also has huge, ball-bearing skate wheels.
