Ignore all the other predictions. The winner of The Masters will be...

Win a free golf book!

Chris DiMarco. Florida’s winning everything, why the hell not the Masters?

DiMarco’s a Gator, but not one of the unbearable ones. Gators are like Republicans – there are a microscopic handful of decent ones. DiMarco should have been a Seminole, but officials got his transcripts messed up.

Actually, I’m just having a bit of sport.

The real winner will be: Ernie Els.

He has three top-five Masters finishes and finished second twice. He’s a big hitter with a nice touch around the greens. He has the temperament, and he won’t be intimidated by the Sunday pressure at Augusta. It’s his time.

Wow, you're quite the prognosticator! I
mean if people do the exact OPPOSITE of
what you say each week, they can win
big money. For instance, they could
have all bet that Ernie Els not only
wouldn't win the Masters, but that he
would actually miss the cut! And of
course Dimarco did too, I guess just
because you mentioned him. Writing about
golf just ain't your thing dude.

Tim,

I'll give you this. Tiger is definitely
off. He has moments of greatness still
(especially in his short game). But the
shot he hit on 15 today was just pitiful.
Not the same Tiger from the past. I don't
like his new swing thoughts of fanning it
open on the takeaway. He fanned it in the
creek several times this week.
