Every year, it’s the same question: Is The Players Championship a major?

“When you go to Denny’s and order the Grand Slam breakfast, they don’t give you five things, do they,” Sluman rhetorically asked the media several years ago.

For the record, that’s buttermilk pancakes, eggs, bacon and sausage.

So, the Players is the cup of coffee in the Kingdom of Golf.
