Asian invasion! Bush not involved!
Tuesday October 30, 2007 | 08:08:28 208 words, 2219 views
It’s odd to think an invasion could be going on and George Bush didn’t provoke it. It’s those European colonialists again. The European Tour is holding a couple of tournaments in Asia next year, the Indian Masters and the Korea Open. The problem is neither tournament is officially sanctioned by the Asian Tour. The Asians aren’t happy about it. The European Tour, on the other hand, say they have given the Asian Tour half of the proceeds from their co-sponsored events for years, while doing most of the work and spending most of the money. Also, Asians can play on the European Tour, but not vice-versa. It’s a small spat, but what if – as John Huggan the European correspondent for Golf Digest asks – there is a larger turf war, involving the European Tour and the PGA Tour. It’s nearly happened before, if you’ll recall, with the WGC events. Huggan says not to worry, it will never happen. European Tour chief George O’Grady will back down from us big, bad Americans. “…O’ Grady has shown a marked reluctance to take on the PGA Tour, even when such an opportunity arose,” Huggan writes. “Which is hardly a surprise. Bullies, as we all know, all too often double as cowards.” Yow. Comments:
Also, some of the golfing people in Canada have suggested that the Canadian Open leave the PGA Tour and be part of the European Tour. They feel that the event itself as it stands is being shafted by Tim Finchem.

WoW - things must really be slow...writing about the Euros and Asians tours. Not much interest here, Tim! ;)
By the way, I think the Canadian Open "should" be part of the Euro Tour

Tim,
You have to introduce left-wing politics into all your blogs, don't you. For your information, President Bush hasn't instigated any invasions. The militant Muslim radicals did all the instigating that was done to get the United States to retaliate. Have you forgotten the 1993 World Trade Center bombing? The destruction of the Khobar towers? The bombing of the US embassies in Africa? The murders of our Navy men on the USS Cole? These were all acts of war. What further provocation do you need? And of course, we finally had the 2001 9-11 airplane hijackings and the massive destruction of the WTC and the Pentagon and the murders of about 3,000 of your fellow American citizens and others. Still not enough provocation for retaliation? What in your opinion would be enough provocation? Or are you convinced like so many of the liberal kooks like Rosie O'Donnell that all these were inside jobs?
My biggest complaint with the Democratic Congress is that it has failed to impeach Bush.
He's not only a liar and an incompetent boob, he's also the biggest threat to democracy since the end of the Cold War. If any President has ever deserved to be impeached, it's this criminal clown.

Tim,
Thanks for not addressing any of my questions. With your latest diatribe, you have branded yourself as a left-wing kook of the first order. You apparently don't know a single thing about the impeachment process or the grounds for initiation thereof. It's all out there for you to enlightenment, but just like the kooks at the democraticunderground and the dailykos, you prefer to remain ignorant.
Your questions are irrelevant, indicative of the right-wing propensity for deflection and unworthy of response.
Osama bin Laden is the guy we should be going after. Al Quaeda is the terrorist group we should be going after. A frustrated, incompetent, ill-informed and arrogant Bush went after the wrong people for the wrong reasons and the country is at a low point in its history as a result. He has done vastly more harm than good to our national security, and and we are 10 times less safe than when this phony hypocrite took office. All the kooks are on the right these days and they, like you, choose to ignore the facts that are staring you in the face. You're not only ignorant, you're aggressively ignorant. You can wrap your ignorance in the American flag, but you're still ignorant.

Tim,
Osama Bin Laden and his followers are the target of our troops, especially our Special Forces. In case you aren't aware of the difficulty in rooting out a guy like Osama in that type of terrain, it took five years to get that guy Randolph who killed the abortion doctor, and he was hiding in the hills of North Carolina, not Afghanistan. You seem to be implying that your knowledge of logistics and military tactics is superior to that of our commanders in the field in Afghanistan. Where and when did you acquire your vast knowledge?
Your arguments are getting weaker and less impassioned. You know you're in the wrong, but you continue to put up listless argument.
I invite you to come on over to our side, where you can do your own thinking. You'll feel better about yourself, not having to dance in lock-step with the neo-cons. You'll be welcome. I'll give you a fruit basket.

Tim,
It's been fun sparring with you, but I feel kind of guilty taking advantage of you since you are obviously out-classed, perhaps hopelessly out-classed. You revealed your political naivete when you said that yout greatest disappoinment in the democrat congress was the fact that they didn't impeach President Bush. That statement laid bare your cluelessness. How could you have entertained such a hope? The most important thing on the agenda of any Congressman, especially a freshman, is to get re-elected. A good number of the newly-elected democrat members of the House are from historically conservative districts. The last thing any of these democrat rookies would want to do is to incur the wrath of any conservative voters in their district. Such a move to impeach President Bush would never get off the ground, and these guys know it. Sure, there are a few far left kook democrats from safe districts who continue to bleat about impeachment, knowing it will never happen. Dennis Kucinich(D-OH) is one. He gets his information from extraterrestrials when they visit him from an nidentified flying object when he visits Shirley Maclaine. Then we have Alcie Hastings(D-FL) who really knows a lot about impeachment. He WAS impeached and removed from his position as a Federal judge. John Conyers, the venerable democrat from Detroit, has softened his stance on impeachment and is now just willing to mouth some platitudes to satisfy the kook left. So Tim, you revealed yourself as a neophyte in the arena of politics by saying that your fondest hope was and is that President Bush be impeached and removed from office. It ain't gonna happen. As for your offer of a fruit basket, thank you, but no. You can keep all the fruits on your side of the aisle. Alex
OK, Alex, we've had our fun.
Back to golf, please. No fruit basket for you.

Now that you're finally back to golf - why so insular? Plenty of good golf around - Volvo Masters & Barclays Singapore Open still have big names, and even in US with Childen's Miracle, no interest in who makes top 30/70/125 and who doesn't?
Comment from: wendy (uk) [Visitor]
First reply that's made me chuckle out loud - but you have no soul, you peasant.
Comment from: Alex [Visitor]
wendy(uk),
So you consider Tim to be a peasant? Philistine would be more accurate.
Comment from: wendy (uk) [Visitor]
You're right, Alex. Tim, you are a soulless Philistine. Damn, I swore I wouldn't descend to name-calling, (but very tame compared to what you're used to).
I like the idea of being a "soul-less Philistine." Sounds kind of sexy.
Go get him Alex...this Tim character sounds worse than Combs, you know, the pencil neck radical leftist on TV.
