Sports-wired.com has a list of some amusing golf facts.

For instance, it says the busiest golf course in the world is Ala Wai municipal in Hawaii, which does 500 rounds a day.

The most expensive is not a Donald Trump course. It’s said to be Liberty National in Jersey City, New Jersey, at a cost of $130.

The highest course in the world is Tactu Golf Course in Peru, at 14,335 feet above sea level, and the largest bunker in the world is at Pine Valley, No. 7.

The largest green in the world is at the Sebring Resort in Sebring, FL. at 47,000 square feet, a little smaller than my entire house.

The longest carry of a golf ball was by a guy named Jack Hamm – 458 yards. The longest drive recorded in a PGA tournament was 515 yards by Mike Austin in at Winterwood in Las Vegas.

A guy named Paul Slater whacked a 750-yard drive on the runway at the London City Airport.

The longest course is in China, naturally, Jade Dragon, at 8,450 yards.

The best golfing writer in the north/central Florida, tri-county area? Tim McDonald

How can $130 be the most expensive, when Pebble Beach charges $475?

I think your list might be old.

Mike Austin really was an amazing man. He never succeeded competitively because he was an atrocious putter, but he hit many prodigious drives like his record-setting one.

I lived on Oahu for years in the 70's and 80's - and learned to play at Ala Wai. It ALSO where I learned the rule: "If you can't play GOOD, play FAST"! ;) It's actually pretty decent for as much traffic as it gets - and when I lived there it cost a resident $5.00 to play 18 with a pullcart.
