Prediction: Tiger Woods will NOT win the World Golf Championships Match Play tournament this week outside Tucson

Yes, Tiger Woods has won this event twice, but he’s also lost to the likes of Nick O’Hern, last year, and Peter O’Malley in 2002.

I’m not sure how good a player Woods is in match play. He’s obviously king of the universe in stroke play, but look at his Ryder Cup record. Not that impressive.

Maybe he just can’t get fired up at facing off against only one player, versus the thrill he gets from beating entire fields the rest of the year. It’s the nobodies he has problems with.

Or maybe it’s a case of his opponents getting ridiculously fired-up over the prospect of ringing up a Tiger slaying mano a mano.

Or maybe it’s just that he doesn’t understand the nuances of match play.

Now, if he’s facing Phil Mickelson or Rory Sabbatini, that’s another matter.

In danger of going into RonMon territory, Tiger definitely will not win the Match Play outside of Tulsa. It's outside of Tucson. You just can't get enough of Oklahoma after that PGA can you Old Mac?

Tiger will win the Match Play in Arizona. But now you're right either way ... shrewd ....

Yeah, doesn't know match play (3 junior & 3 amateur titles in a row). Oh, is it match play?
