LPGA Commissioner Carolyn Bivens is a hero for taking a stance against encroaching foreigners

Finally, someone in authority has said “enough is enough.” Mexicans arriving from the South by the hordes. I agree with that Mexican writer who said Mexico may have lost the Mexican-American War in the 1940s, but was winning this one by the sheer force of illegal immigration. In my state, Florida, you can stand pretty much anywhere and swing a squirrel by the tail and hit an illegal. I hang out in Wal Mart a lot and sometimes I’d swear I was in Tijuana. Used to be I could hang out there and know what the hell was going on around town. These Mexicans only know what’s going on in their trailer parks. And these Koreans. Coming over here, winning our ladies golf tournaments and then they can’t even tell the bank teller to cash their checks. How many bank tellers you know speak Korean? Or have yens in their cash drawers to dish out? These Koreans are making a killing over here against their inferior American opponents. Is it too damn much to ask they give their winning speeches in something that doesn’t sound like cat gibberish? They’re probably cursing us and praising Sun Yung Moon or whatever that midget’s name is over there, about how we’ll all be eating dog for lunch pretty soon. I don’t trust those translators. LPGA Commissioner Carolyn Bivens should be praised for making English mandatory, not ridiculed. The language ain’t that hard. Comprende? Oh, I know it’s smarter these days to be politically correct, and I’ll probably get my share of scorn, especially from do-gooder Chris Baldwin, who looks like he may have some Asian blood in him. But, if this country – and the LPGA for which it stands – can’t even ask people to speak so we can understand them, we might as well all just move to Miami. And if Ron Mon tells me one more time to read his blog, I say we send HIM to Korea. His blogs may as well be written in Korean anyway, for all the sense they make. Comments:
After you have paid all your debt to the world, and repay all the treasury securities, you can talk all you want. Beggars like Tim MacDonald cannot be choosers. Typical whining white male who will complain about African Americans because they are not qualified and now the racist complains about foreign players because they are better than Americans. Typical racist white American..Tim MacDonald.
Tim, you are an idiot. Even if your aim here is satire, acting the American clueless of the world because that is what the LPGA seems like right now -- S. Koreans use the won, not yen! The Mexican-American war was in the late 1840s! It's Sun Myung Moon, if you're talking recently! -- this is still rather embarrasing for WorldGolf, since it's not really pulled off in any way that is funny.
I suspect I'm right about the satire. Benefit of the doubt and all that. Or perhaps this is how you really feel. No satire. Then I hope Mark corrects some of those gaffs above.
The term "redneck" originated from hard-working farmers, who's necks got sunburnt from plowing in the fields all day.
If you worked as hard as these people, my people, you might have earned the right to criticize hard-working Americans, but I doubt it. Ever seen a Korean or Mexican with a red neck? And Jeff, who's this "Mark" you're referring to? Maybe he could start by correcting your "gaffe," not "gaff," which is something you hook a fish with.
A lot of arguments can be made on both sides of this discussion. The marketing argument on pro-ams communication is important.
However, how about a new rule ? All american and european LPGA golfers should not be allowed to get involved in fashion design or shows, publish a calendar, host a TV show or anything of that nature, before they practice every day, win tournaments and become good consistent professional golfers.
Are you nuts? Do you have a membership card to the KKK laminated in your wallet. Buddy, we are in the 21st century!
Just because we're in the 21st century doesn't mean we should let go of the values and mores that made this country great.
Buddy.

I know I'm guilty of being too literal at times but, damn, perhaps we should develop a Satire Icon. This article was funny - especially the note to Ron Monster.
See? Only a TravelGolf blogger has this sort of keen perception and insight.
I see there is more than one "David" in the world - you remember, the one who caught you leering at women in airports?!
I don't remember David, but I do remember almost every woman I've leered at in an airport.
I have an unquenchable memory in that respect.

Probably the saddest thing about this post IS that Tim was being satirical.
Personally, I think it's TIME that Americans started taking America back for the illegals and liberal slime that have dragged us down for the past 30-40 years ('New Deal' anyone??). PS...I think the 'Mark' that poster 'jeff' was referring to is Nesmith...*wink*....and we ALL know how little control over YOU he has!

Correction - 'back for the' should of course be "back FROM the".

BV is an inbred hick from Texas who
has an IQ of 75. He is 45 year old who's never dated a woman, and still lives in the basement of his mother's house. He thinks Jan Stephenson, who's uglier than the California raisin, is a "hottie." Disgusting. Leave a comment: |
