Remember Tripp Isenhour and the dead bird? In case you missed it, he got off light
Under the “In case you missed it” category, former PGA Tour player Tripp Isenhour was sentenced for that bird he killed last year.
Isenhour entered a “no contest” plea and was sentenced to a year’s probation, four hours of anger management classes, and 100 hours of community service, 40 of which he has to do at a wildlife or animal shelter. He bought out the rest of the community service time for $1,500. He also paid a $500 fine.
He shouldn’t have been allowed to buy out his time. This wasn’t some lark, excuse the excruciatingly bad pun. It was no accident. A red-shouldered hawk’s loud chirps annoyed Isenhour while he was filming a video called, ironically enough, “Playing like a pro.”
Isenhour took aim at the bird not once, not twice, but 10 times before knocking it out of a tree and killing it.
The case got a lot of attention and, of course, Isenhour blamed the media.
He ultimately admitted responsibility.
Still, what a colossal jerk.

Just don't ask her how she'd field-dress it: more blithering answers.
Actually, *I* think Tripp got off FAR too lightly. What a poor example he set for kids. If you kill something, you DAMM well better EAT it!
