I’m hardly the only one to make the prediction that more American golfers will become European golfers, and now Phil Mickelson has given us more ammunition.
Mickelson told AFP he hopes the Singapore Open becomes part of the European Tour.
“… If it were to become a European Tour event it would be great for me as it would be included as one of the now 12 events that you need to play to become a European Tour member,” Mickelson told the news service.
“Although I haven’t yet joined, it is something I am certainly considering.”
Who would have ever thought the European Tour would be where the money’s at?
Nice to know that when things are getting tough economically here at home, the already-wealthy American golfers are abandoning us for greener pastures.
