"And don't forget the dengue fever, which can be caught from mosquitoes, or the pot-holed, narrow roads with no lighting or street signs."

This sounds suspiciously like all of Duval County, in Northeast Florida.
Dengue Fever, though, must take a backseat to West Nile Virus, Equine Eastern Encephalitis, poison ivy, water moccasins, Bubbas, and sandspurs. That's IF you leave out bone crushing humidity, eyeball searing haze, and the stench of the Glidden Plant when the wind is right. You want a challenging course in an area famous for a hideously high crime rate, weather that makes light of any landscaping greenery attempts, more WalMartians than Arkansas, and the Devil's own weather, forget Barbados and come on down...we can provide an excruciating challenge rat cheer in the Land of The Free and Home of the Depraved.
And most of our courses are remarkably empty in July and August, unlike Disney World just to the south a bit.
