It's because you're using phrases like "loss leader."

The proverbial carrot...is this a loss-leader to get you in the door for a series of lessons? On the other hand, do I expect a series of lessons to be free? I´ve never felt comfortable with this promotion, but find the words to describe my feelings difficult to enunciate.
