It is ridiculous to say that
Tiger cannot win four more majors,
when he won one with a broken leg
I guarantee you Jack's record
will be gone earliest 2010 latest
2012.

Winning is about mental and no
one can match a written off Tiger
Please dont forget Torrey Pines

What has happened is that rather
that 24-27 majors, he will be in
the 19-24 major range

OK, that makes sense. What is interesting is that, regardless of Woods' prospects, this has really thrown a monkey wrench into his career. Prior to this injury, it really seemed as if he was peaking, and he is in the midst of those prime golf years (30-35). So, in the least, this certainly is a tremendous setback.

I still think the idea that he won't have the capacity to win numerous majors is untenable. His work ethic and what he possesses between his ears won't change. Again, Nicklaus contended for the Masters at age 58 while limping around on a bad hip. And he and Woods are cut from the same stone; champions like them are always able to apply themselves and find a way to win.

No backtracking. I still maintain Woods won't break it.

No one can say what will happen in the future, post-Woods. I'm just not saying it will NEVER be broken. Someone will come along some day to break it.
Nicklaus' record is safe for the foreseeable future now? It seems like you're backtracking a bit, Tim.

Actually, though, as I said last time, it's safe because of the unrest we're going to experience during the next eight years. Heck, in 2012 Tigger could be hunkered down on his yacht in the middle of the Atlantic trying to dodge nuclear fallout. And you might really need that hairpiece.
