On the latest TravelGolf.com This Week podcast, Ron Mon rates two of the golf destinations in the Norther U.S., Bandon Dunes Golf Resort in Oregon and the American Club in Kohler, Wis.

Bud Taylor, director of golf at PGA Golf Club in Port St. Lucie, Fla., talks about the noted daily-fee facility’s 10th anniversary. Not resting on their laurels, the PGA of America has announced a complete overhaul of the North, South and Dye Courses, the clubhouse and more. “It’s an exciting time for us. We’ve had 10 years of excellence and history and we’re just looking to add to that,” Taylor tells host Dave Berner.

Robert Lewis is back with more about “extreme golf.” This week he’s planning a trip to, of all places, Cuba. Not the most thought of golf destination in the world, with only two courses in the entire country.

“If you want to talk to me about extreme golf, well, I thought this might be the extreme,” Lewis says. “What I really like about destinations such as this is the cultural differences that you can enjoy.”

It looks like a new fad has arrived and Todd Cole introduces his “Virtual Golf Instructor,” a web-based program which helps teach you to play golf. “It’s a program that analyses the characteristics of a golf game and provides a plan for improvement,” Cole says.
