Natalie Gulbis is becoming known as the Anna Kournikova of golf. Admit it: Her sexy calendar was on your Christmas list last year. But Gulbis is more than just a drool-inducing goddess who happens to occasionally swing a golf club. In this week’s podcast, host Dave Berner talks to Gulbis about getting back into the top 20, the comparisons to Kournikova and the future of the LPGA Tour.

“I think the focus should be on the diversification of the tour,” Gulbis says. “We’ve got so many different types of players. There are so many different rivalries and so many different stars on the LPGA Tour. I just hope that we continue to really market that and show the fans how you can have a hall of famer like Juli Inkster playing a new player like Morgan Pressel.”

Plus, Gulbis gives a bit of advice to several pro golfers, including LPGA Tour 2006 Money List leader Lorena Ochoa.

“Advice for Lorena Ochoa? To tell the rest of us how she got to be the no. 1 player in the world,” she says. “No, that’s not advice. That’s a question.”

In this week’s ‘TravelGolf.com On Course’ segment, equipment guru Bruce Stasch muses on the origins of colored golf clubs.

“Now what’s the deal with pink golf clubs? It must have started with the baby blanket thing,” Bruce says. “Someone in their infinite wisdom decided that boy babies should have a blue blanket and girls a pink one. Who is this idiot anyway, and what does blue have to do with boys and pink with girls?”

Base on the logics of a lot of the visitors here, Gulbis should quit pro golf and get iherself reinstated as an amateur, then learn how to win before rejoining the pro rank again.

John Daly's game went downhill after his new show started. Natalie has a TV show too now.....is it possible that a players focus is challenged by other interests "off course"?
