In this edition of the TravelGolf.com This Week podcast, show host Dave Berner talks to author David Wood about Wood’s soon-to-be-released book, “Around the World in 80 Rounds.”

“Not only did I want to play golf, I wanted to see the world,” said Wood, who began playing golf in Santiago, Chile, and then spent a year playing around the world, finishing playing the northernmost course of the world, in Norway. Wood tells listeners about the book and his amazing journey.

Noted golf instructor Dr. Gary Wiren talks about how to have more fun on the golf course with his new “Golf Enjoyment Scorecard.”

Also, National Editor Tim McDonald tells you how golf courses in Biloxi, Miss., have bounced back. This area is now a great place to find quality, inexpensive golf, he says.

And in this week’s “On Course” commentary, blogger Ron Montesano talks about how technology in golf can help your game - but, he says, sometimes technology can be simple.

This podcast is supported by Pioneer Golf and Florida Golf Travel.

I really enjoyed David Wood's descriptions of his adventures. What an experience to be able to play golf all around the world on different types of courses. Some travel the world in search of that great bottle of wine, he took his adventure to a different level and was in search of that great course. I can't wait to read his book!
