Hear this latest episode of TravelGolf.com This Week. What if you could play golf with hickory shafts that don’t compromise on modern performance? Kerim Kfuri, president of Sweet Wood Golf Company, a high-end luxury golf company tells host Dave Berner about their clubs that use products from back in the day, but have performance that keeps up with modern equipment. “We look to reinstill some of the old world style and diligent craftsmanship into our products,” Kfuri says. Author Joe Redden Tigan on “Waggle,” his new book that looks at four golfing friends nearing their 40s who are reaching crossroads of their lives in the Chicagoland area. “It’s kind of that age where you start to say, ‘what’s the next step for me, which way do I want to go in life?’” Tigan says. “‘Waggle’ is a fairly humorous treatment of that question.” Also, National Golf Editor Tim McDonald talks about his recent golf trip to Malaysia. While McDonald wasn’t thrilled with the food of Malaysia, the accommodations and the golf were interesting. “I really didn’t know what to expect,” he says. “We stayed in nice hotels and nice resorts. They have some nice courses. … They have over 200 courses there.” This podcast is supported by St. Andrews Golf Tours, Premier Golf and MyrtleBeachGolf.com.
