Playing golf in bad weather can be a miserable experience. In this week’s podcast, host Dave Berner talks to PGA instructor Chuck Evans about how to tackle nasty conditions.

“The big thing you have to do is keep your hands warm,” say Evans, who contributes golf instruction columns at WorldGolf.com. “You have got to start off warm because you’re not going to get warm if you’re riding in a golf cart.”

In Las Vegas, golf is a year-round sport, and The Revere Golf Club in Henderson is a great place to play in the winter. Berner talks to Bill Klemke, head professional at Revere.

“It is chilly still, but you can play golf year round out here,” Klemke says. “We’ve got two golf courses, with 36 holes, and they both give you a different look. And this time of year our rates are cut in half.”

With the 2008 PGA Tour season starting off, it’s time for some fantasy golf, says TravelGolf.com’s Kiel Christianson.

“The one I’ve been playing is the Yahoo! Sports fantasy golf,” Christianson says. “I’m absolutely hooked on it. Last year, I obliterated the competition.”

This podcast is supported by Scotland Golf Tours and Golf Canada’s West.
