In this week’s podcast, host Dave Berner talks to National Golf Editor Tim McDonald about music and golf, including the University of Georgia Golf Course, in Athens, Ga.

“It’s known as the Boston of the Southeast,” McDonald says. “You can find almost any kind of music here.”

Senior Writer Chris Baldwin talks about his recent tour of the Blue Shark Golf Club and other Bahamas golf courses.

“They have like 700 islands scattered around, and there are only 30 golf courses in all the islands. So the golf is not a huge thing yet; it’s still building a foothold there,” Baldwin says.

Plus, Equipment Editor Kiel Christianson has discovered a new toy called The Golf Mat by Vijay Singh that will help keep your game in shape even in the off season.

“It’s called The Golf Mat,” Christianson says. “It’s a big practice mat, but this is the first mat that has give to it.”

This podcast is supported by Arizona Golf Packages and Florida Golf and Travel.
