In this week’s podcast, host Dave Berner talks to TravelGolf.com’s Kiel Christianson about his trip to this year’s U.S. Open at Torrey Pines, won in historic fashion by Tiger Woods.

“It was quite remarkable. Talk about just an insane number of people. The course itself was also in fantastic shape,” Christianson says.

There are a lot of golf-improvement programs out there, but the most high tech is arguably GolfTEC. Berner talks to PGA Professional Tim Sam, director of instruction and city manager for GolfTEC’s franchise in Las Vegas.

“We are an indoor facility with three teaching bays,” he says. “We’re very high tech in terms of the technology we use. We gather as much factual data as we can, so we take some of the subjectivity out of the world of golf instruction.”

Are you an arm swinger or a body swinger? It helps if you know, says PGA instructor Chuck Evans.

This podcast is supported by Golf Canada’s West and San Diego Golf Central.
