In this week’s podcast, host Dave Berner talks to TravelGolf.com’s Brandon Tucker about golf in Germany.

“People always say that it’s more elitist over there. I didn’t see that so much,” Tucker says. “The interesting thing to me is that the golf culture is still developing. I was talking with some pros who said they’re still trying to shake that stigma of golf being an old fogies game.”

If you’re looking for luxury and great golf, head to the Grand Del Mar Resort in San Diego, says TravelGolf.com’s Chris Baldwin.

“It’s just opened and hasn’t had a lot of publicity yet. But it’s going to be regarded as one of the top resorts in the world, I have no doubt about that,” Baldwin says.

Golf writer Bill Giering talks about growing the game of golf through the Just One initiative.

“The initiative really comes from what I think has been happening in the last five years in golf,” Giering says. “Anybody in golf knows that rounds are down, numbers of players are down; certainly we’re aware of the number of golf courses closing. That’s one of the things in the industry we don’t want to talk about.”

This podcast is supported by Grand Bahama Vacations and Arizona Golf Packages.
