In this week’s podcast, host Dave Berner talks to author George Fuller about his book “I Golf, Therefore I Am - Nuts.”

“I think that golfers by nature are, for the most part, obsessed with the game, and it takes on all forms of nuttiness,” Fuller says.

TravelGolf.com’s Tim McDonald talks about underwhelming golf in Jamaica.

“To be honest, the golf wasn’t very good,” McDonald says. “The resorts were fabulous. Everything about these resorts was great, except for the golf.”

Money may be tight these days, but you’re not about to give up golf, right? TravelGolf.com’s Chris Baldwin says there’s still plenty of affordable golf destinations.

“Myrtle Beach is one of them. There are so many reasonable courses that you can put together a trip that a Scottsdale would kill you with so many high end courses,” Baldwin says.

But what if you want to head out West? Walters Golf in Las Vegas is offering 30 percent off green fees if you prepay, says the company’s director of reservations. The offer includes

Desert Pines Golf Club, Bali Hai and Royal Links Golf Club.

Plus, McDonald reviews the new book “A Golfer’s Dream: How a Regular Guy Conquered Golf Digest’s List of America’s Top 100 Golf Courses” by Larry Berle.

This podcast is supported by San Diego Golf Central.
