the golfer in reducing back pains caused by practicing putting
at long periods of time. Bending over at long putting sessions
causes musculoskeletal disorders in other parts of the anatomy.

thumb and index finger that will move the putter to and fro to

To complete the setup for a good ball roll the putter must be in a square position at contact. The ball will spin sideways if the putter is not in a square position throughout the stroke. The golfer stands up straight looking at the target and aims the putter head square at the direction the ball must travel.
