DENVER (JUNE 19, 2001) - Making history as the champion of the
101st U.S. Open, Retief Goosen (right) putted his way to victory
today using his all-new C-Groove Face-Balanced Blade Putter (MODEL
II) by Yes! Golf.
Having recently acquired the Yes! Putter, Goosen putted 8 out of the first ten holes in the tournament, lending to his ground-breaking victory. Having placed fifth in the recent European Open, and taking first in the U.S. Open, Goosen's game, and putting prowess has shown remarkable improvement, stepping up his rankings to the top of the charts! In a post-U.S. Open interview conducted in the USGA press room, Goosen commented on his putting success: "It hasn't quite sunk in yet what has happened out there this week. I wasn't playing well at all this year, actually. I started hitting the ball a lot better a few weeks ago and the putter just wasn't working. And this week, putting a new putter in the bag last week, it just helped. I mean I made everything I looked at, " said Goosen. Previously known as ProGear, Yes! Golf and its innovative line of putters are setting a new industry standard and changing the face of the game with the innovative C-Groove Technology built into each model. Yes! Putters received the highest ranking in the "Best of the Best" category by Rankmark, America's premier golf testing company.
Yes! Putters with C-Groove Technology are the invention of Harold
Swash, "Britain's Putting Doctor" who blends art, science
and technology to create Yes! Putters, the man responsible for
providing Goosen with the winning putter.

Yes! Putters with C-Groove Technology are available in five models
and feature concentric grooves precision-machined into the metal
face to exacting specifications.
The grooves create an immediate and pure forward roll of the ball, which gives it a significantly better chance of staying on line to the cup. Also, the grooves minimize side turning resulting from an open or closed putter face on contact, and eliminate the effects of moisture (rain or dew). Yes! Putters with C-Groove Technology also recently received the PGA Tour Partners member tested "Seal of Approval" as noted in the March/April 2001 issue. The PGA Tour Partners Club, an organization of 500,000+ golfers, regularly sends new golf products and equipment to groups of members for unbiased review and testing. Yes! Putters earned an unprecedented 100% favorable review in the putter category with a buy rating. "Our Yes! Putters are gaining a lot of recognition," said Ricci. "In fact, since last fall, we've received orders from Vijay Singh, Darren Clarke, Miguel Angel Jimenez, Gary Orr, Padraig Harrington, Dennis Paulson, Chris Perry, Mathias Gronberg, Andrew Coltart, Mike Weir and Paul McGinley, as well as from LPGA Tour Players Maggie Will, Alicia Dibos, Karen Weiss and Luciana Bemvenuti." Two new models of Yes! Putters were introduced at the PGA Merchandise Show in Orlando, Florida in January 2001, the High Precision Center Shaft and High Precision Insert. The High Precision Center Shaft is a center shafted style putter made of 17-4 stainless steel with the hosel of the club positioned behind the head.
The High Precision Insert is a perimeter-weighted putter, also
made of 17-4 stainless steel with a grooved black face made of
anodized aluminum. The putters retail for approximately $130.
