Models Of Consistency.

Fairhaven, MA (September 16, 2003) – Like the Titleist golf ball, Vijay Singh has been a model of consistency on the 2003 PGA Tour. At the rain-delayed John Deere Classic on Monday, Singh captured his career-best third PGA Tour title of the season, vaulting him to the top of this year's competitive Money List. Singh, who relies upon the new Titleist Pro V1x golf ball, fired four consecutive rounds in the 60's, including a final round 6-under par 65 in the four-stroke win. His consistency is evident in the 14 top-10 finishes, which ties him for the PGA Tour lead this year, including nine inside the top-5. The victory was the 14 th of his illustrious PGA Tour career.

Additional wins by Retief Goosen (PGA European Tour/Pro V1x), Lary Nelson (Champions Tour/Pro V1x) and Jyoti Randhawa (Japan Golf Tour/Pro V1) increases Titleist year-to-date victory count on the worldwide professional tours to 118, 90 more than the nearest competitor with 28.

Singh, who won the Phoenix Open and Byron Nelson Championship earlier this year, becomes the fifth player to win three or more times this season. Of the five players, four of them rely upon Titleist golf balls, including fellow three-time winners Kenny Perry and Mike Weir, and four-time winner Davis Love III.

It marks the second win for Singh since he turned 40, and makes it the 11th time through 39 events this season that a player over the age of 40 has won a PGA TOUR tournament. Of the eight individual 40-somethings that have won this year, six of them rely upon Titleist golf balls, including multiple-winners Singh and Perry. Joining Singh in Titleist's over-40 winner's circle is last week's Bell Canadian Open winner Bob Tway, the Reno-Tahoe champion, Peter Jacobsen (Greater Hartford Open), Perry (Greater Milwaukee Open, Memorial, Colonial), and Scott Hoch (Ford Championship).

PGA European Tour: Retief Goosen closed with a 1-under par 70 on Sunday to secure a four-stroke victory at the Trophée Lancôme. Goosen finished at 18-under-par 266 for his first victory of the season and ninth of his career on the PGA European Tour. Goosen's win is Titleist's 19th on the 2003 PGA European Tour.

Champions Tour: Larry Nelson overcame a bee sting on his right hand Sunday to shoot a 2-under-par 70 for a two-stroke victory at the Constellation Energy Classic. Nelson's victory is his first of the year and Titleist's 17th on the 2003 Champions Tour.

Japan Golf Tour: Jyoti Randhawa relied upon the Pro V1 golf ball to fire an 8-under par total and win the Suntory Open by two strokes over Pro V1x loyalist Paul Sheehan. Only five players finished under par on the difficult Sobu Course layout. It was the first victory in Japan for Randhawa and a JGTO-leading seventh for Titleist this year.
