The late 2003 introduction of Alpha Golf's new-for-2004 C830-2 set the long drive world abuzz last fall by earning five long drive "major" titles over the course of three weeks. Several members of Alpha Golf's Pro Tour Staff switched to the C830-2 just before last fall's ReMax World Long Drive Championship in October. Many more converts were hitting Alpha drivers two weeks later at the Long Drivers of America (LDA) Tour Championship, which is considered long drive's "second major." Of eight divisions in the two championships, Alpha Golf's C830-2 won an unprecedented five major long drive titles in just over two weeks.

Carl Wolter earned the men's open division title of the LDA Tour Championship using an Alpha C830-2. Sally Dee, the 2003 LDA women's division player of the year took the women's LDA Tour Championship title and Eric Jones won the 2003 ReMax world long drive championship in the men's senior division with Alpha Golf drivers. Wolter and Jones will be joined by Alpha Golf teammates and elite long driver competitors Vince Howell, David Mobley, Danny Luirette and Kevin Bullard at The Players Cup. Alpha officials expect many other competitors to be using its drivers as word of the performance advantages of the Increased Target Design (ITD), which Alpha Golf incorporated into the C830-2 has spread through the pro long drive community.

Alpha Golf, a division of Kent Sports, Inc., is based in Chatsworth, California. Alpha Golf produces high performance, premium golf equipment featuring technologically advanced designs, superior quality materials and the most sophisticated manufacturing processes in the industry to create its innovative technology.
