"Sun Mountain was founded in the early '80s upon the belief that we could create a better bag," said Sun Mountain founder Rick Reimers. "And, we are not forgetting the wheel we invented. Rather, we are taking the best of our modern features and mixing it with this classic look."

Classic, indeed, the stand bags feature wooden legs that harken back to the days of hickory shafted clubs, and brass hardware and zippers Additional features include suede GSP (Graphite Shaft Protection) on the 81/4" round, four-way divided top, four pockets including a full-length clothing pocket and velour-lined valuables pouch. The Canvas cart bag also includes a full-length belly pocket for ample storage space.

The canvas bags are actually constructed from a durable polyester with a canvas look and available in natural, green, light khaki, and dark gray with a full-suggested retail price of $205 for the carry bag, $235 for the stand bag and $255 for the cart bag. The full-grain leather line is available in brown or black and carries a full-suggested retail of $375 for the carry version and $420 for the stand bag.

"Interestingly, the force behind the creation of this line of bags is totally consumer driven," Reimer continued. "These bags were created at the request of a niche group of customers asking for a durable bag with a traditional look."

In addition to golf bags, Sun Mountain Performance Outerwear is dedicated to finding the most innovative fabrics, the latest weaving processes, and the best designs to manufacture a line of performance outerwear that includes rainsuits, windshirts, microfiber and fleece garments. And, the Sun Mountain's Speed Cart is the leader of the push cart market.

For more than 20 years, Sun Mountain has been designing and manufacturing functional, high-quality, lightweight golf bags for the serious golfer. Sun Mountain is responsible for many industry firsts, including being the first to use backpacking technology to produce a lightweight nylon golf bag, and being the first to develop a stand bag with integral legs.
