TPC Of Scottsdale - Stadium

Course Profile

This resort facility, which was named by "GOLF Magazine" to its 1998 list of "Silver Medal Resorts," has two regulation eighteen hole courses. The Desert Course is a public facility, and is more typical of a target course. It is shorter, but tighter than its sister course, and errant shots are likely to trickle into desert shrub. The Desert Course offers the same dazzling views of the McDowell Mountains which serves as an enjoyable compliment to the Stadium Course. Golfers may also walk the desert course. The Desert Course is located across the street from the Stadium course and has its own clubhouse, grill, and practice area. Discounts are available to county resitents, seniors, and juniors. Tee times can be reserved seven days in advance by calling (480) 585-4334.
The Stadium Course is a spacious layout fringed by saguaro cacti and mesquite trees, with a broad view of famed Pinnacle Peak to the north and the McDowell Mountains to the East. This course can be quite a substantial challenge because of the mounds and bunkers strategically placed throughout its design. This course has a desert ambiance, but the natural terrain doesn't come into play. The PGA Tour's Phoenix Open is held every January on the Stadium Course. Golfers may walk the Desert Course, however carts are mandatory on the Stadium Course. There is also a giant practice facility that is frequented by 27 PGA Tour professionals including Tom Lehman and Steve Jones. Tee times can be reserved 90 days in advance on the Stadium Course.
