Mother Nature stars at memorable Resort Course at Eagle Crest in Redmond, Oregon
REDMOND, Ore. -- The Resort Course at Eagle Crest Resort was designed by Bunny Mason and first opened in 1986. The course, which has hosted Oregon High School State Golf Championship since 1991, features two distinctly different nines.
Big hitters will love the front nine, which allows players to swing away. More accurate players will be thankful for the back nine, because it places a premium on accuracy. Holes No. 10-No. 15 have out of bounds left and right. From the tips, the course plays 6,673 yards.
Looking for the Resort's signature hole? No. 2 is a par 5 that tees off eight stories above the canyon floor and features a nearly 90-degree dog-leg right. You won't want to miss -- or forget -- this hole.
Nestled against the memorable Cascade Mountains near Bend, Eagle Crest is good for more than 300 days of sunshine each year with an annual rainfall of less than nine inches.
